Skyway-NLEX Connector Road Traffic Study

Duration: Apr 2016 - June 2016
Client: San Miguel Corp – Infra Group

The scope of work for the traffic study are: a) Review of project-related documents on project features, particularly the proposed alignment, tollway entry/exit, approved toll rates (MPIC and SMC portions) and other specifications based on the DPWH approvals; b) Analyze existing road traffic condition within the Connector Road direct influence area (study area) using available DPWH/MMDA count data (if any), tollway operators’ statistics, and relevant TTPI survey results; c) Conduct supplemental transport and traffic surveys; d) Determine future Connector Road Project vehicle volumes by vehicle class, by road section, and by direction based on approved toll rates and agreed range values; e) Estimate impact of the Connector Road Project on existing tollways, specifically the Skyway Stage 3 Project; and f) Identify risks associated with assumptions and procedures in the forecasting process.
