    Preparatory Survey for Central Mindanao High Standard Highway Construction Project

    Duration: November 2020 – January 2021

    Traffic Survey under the Preparatory Survey for Central Mindanao High Standard Highway Construction Project (Cagayan de Oro – Malaybalay Section) 


    The survey is aimed to determine the current traffic situation in the study area in terms of vehicular volume, road space and travel speed. Conducted manufacturing and logistics’ company interviews in the study area. 

    Route Rationalization Study for Metro Manila Urban Transportation Integration Study

    Duration: January 2020 - March 2021

    Client:  Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)/Department of Transportation (DOTr)

      

    The project aims to achieve the following:

    • Understand the public transport supply and demand situations in the MUCEP area;
    • Identify rationalized routes based on public transport demand using a travel demand modeling software validated through public transport and traffic surveys;
    • Rationalize routes for three (3) major categories, to wit (1) Immediate Priority (2) Medium Term (3) Long Term. These major categories involve specific route ends identified in the TOR. It should be noted that the complete MUCEP Area Route Plan shall include not only the major routes in the above-named categories but also other equally important routes in other locations in the MUCEP area;
    • Capacity building and training program for the counterpart team members and other LGUs specified in Activity 1, Activity 2 and Activity 3 in the TOR;
    • Conduct of consultation meetings with both government and private sector stakeholders in public transportation operation and regulation.

    Study of Masterplan on High Standard Highway Network Development, Phase 2

    Traffic Survey in Luzon

    Under the Study of Masterplan on High Standard Highway Network Development, Phase 2


    TTPI was subcontracted by CTII of Japan to undertake the Luzon Island wide comprehensive transport data gathering for the proposed JICA Study of Masterplan on High Standard Highway Network Development, Phase 2. The surveys conducted are:

    • Traffic Count Survey (35 stations)
    • Roadside OD Survey (35 stations)
    • Travel Speed Survey (26 sections)
    • Truck OD Survey at Port and Airport (6 ports and 6 airports)
    • Ferry Passenger OD Survey at Port (6 ferry ports)
    • Port and Airport Administrator’s Survey (6 ports & 6 airports)
    • Logistics Company Interview – 6 companies
    • Interview Survey to Administrator and Manufacturing company at Special Economic Zone (SEZ) – 10 administrators and 30 Manufacturing Companies in SEZ. 

    Traffic Forecasts for the Preliminary Detailed Engineering and Evaluation

    Traffic Forecasts for the Preliminary Detailed Engineering and Evaluation of Improvement Along Intersections of National Primary Roads in Cebu City, Including the Cities of Talisay, Mandaue and Lapulapu.


    The objectives of the study are: 

    • Review / analyze the results of the 2018 traffic surveys undertaken by DEMCOR-CEDCO JV using Transmodeler Traffic Analysis software; 
    • Perform strategic-level traffic assignment using updated Metro Cebu Transport Model for forecast flows on major corridors; 
    • Undertake detailed traffic analysis on the forecast flows using Transmodeler software with detailed inputs on commercial development projects/trends from the DEMCOR / CEDCO land use planner, traffic engineer, and other Study Team specialist.; 
    • Prepare preliminary traffic forecasts, and revised forecasts considering intersection improvement options such as overpass, underpass, widening, etc. 

    Public Transport Terminal Survey for the Master Plan Study and Institutional Development

    Public Transport Terminal Survey for the Master Plan Study and Institutional Development on Urban Transport System in Metro Cebu

      

    The Public Transport Terminal Survey aims to survey the frequency of PUJ and bus service and abstract of the terminals including location, operation system and operation hours.

    Screen Line Survey for the Master Plan Study and Institutional Development

    Screen Line Survey for the Master Plan Study and Institutional Development on Urban Transport System in Metro Cebu


    The Screen Line Survey aims to provide vehicular and passenger traffic information to calibrate the current distributed traffic volume obtained from the HIS. In order to obtain the required data, two surveys, namely the traffic count survey and the vehicle occupancy survey, are conducted at road sections crossing the screen lines in the Study area. 

    Cordon Line Surveys for the Follow-Up Survey on Roadmap

    Cordon Line Surveys for the Follow-Up Survey on Roadmap for Transport Infrastructure Development for Metro Manila and Its Surrounding Areas


    These surveys aim to determine the trips to/from the survey area made by residents living outside the survey area and to calibrate the distributed traffic volume obtained from existing database. In order to obtain such data/information, roadside origin–destination (OD) interview survey, traffic count survey, and vehicle occupancy survey are conducted on the boundaries of the survey area.

    Traffic Count Surveys for Metro Manila Priority Bridge Seismic Improvement 

    Project (MMPBSIP)

      

    TTPI have been commissioned by CTI Eng’g. Intl. Ltd. to undertake the transport and traffic surveys for the proposed JICA-Metro Manila Priority Bridge Seismic Improvement 

    Project (MMPBSIP). The objective of the survey is to know the existing vehicular volume that crosses the Pasig River. The transport and traffic surveys are part of a transport data collection activity of the study which will be used in the design of new bridge. 

    Travel Speed Survey for the Roadmap Study for Sustainable Urban Development

    Travel Speed Survey for the Roadmap Study for Sustainable Urban Development in Metro Cebu 


    TTPI was subcontracted by ALMEC Corporation (main consultant) of JICA in connection with the Travel Speed Survey for the Roadmap Study for Sustainable Urban Development in Metro Cebu. The survey aims to obtain driving data of taxis to provide an easier way to identify bottlenecks in the urban road network by the day and the time period. 


    The Survey’s results will also be analyzed to evaluate operation efficiencies, or turnover ratios, of taxis to think of demand-supply balance in Metro Cebu
